Frequently Asked Questions
What does “M3” mean?
“M” comes from my first initial (Michael), and “3” is simply my favorite number. The name stuck, and it’s grown into M3 Handiworks and the reason why three percent is my donation amount.
What types of projects do you handle?
I focus on home repairs and maintenance projects, both inside and outside the home. This includes things like doors, cabinets, fixtures, shelving, decks, gates, and general punch list items.
If you’re not sure whether your project fits, just ask.

Do you install doors and windows?
Yes. I install and replace doors and windows within existing openings when no structural changes or permits are required. If a project falls outside handyman scope, I’ll explain that upfront.
Do you handle both indoor and outdoor repairs?
Yes. I work on a wide range of indoor and outdoor projects. Indoor work often includes things like doors, drywall repairs, fixtures, shelving, and general home maintenance. Outdoor projects can include gates, fencing, small decks or platforms, exterior repairs, and other well-scoped carpentry work.
How do you price your services?
Projects are quoted upfront based on scope, time, and materials.
Once an estimate is approved, the price does not change unless the scope of work changes.
No surprise charges.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Estimates are always free and no obligation. In many cases, a detailed description and a few photos are enough to provide an accurate estimate. If an in person visit is needed, I’ll let you know upfront.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I currently accept cash, check, and Venmo.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking two to three weeks out is ideal, but same week availability is sometimes possible depending on the job.
Do you work evenings or weekends?
Yes. Flexible scheduling is available when needed.
How long do projects usually take?
Most projects are completed in a few hours to a day. You’ll be given a clear timeline during your estimate.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. M3 Handiworks is fully licensed and insured.
Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. If something isn’t right, I’ll come back and make it right.
Do you give back to the community?
Yes. Three percent of every project is donated to local Ventura community programs.
